Business Sustainability Manager – Product Sustainability to Saint-Gobain Distribution Sweden

We are now looking for a Business Sustainability Manager – Product Sustainability to join our Group Sustainability Impact team, and lead the way in reducing environmental impact through improved products and solutions.
About the Role
As Business Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for implementing group-level and company-specific sustainability strategies. Acting as a strategic business partner, you will coordinate cross-functional sustainability initiatives and establish efficient processes. With your expertise in Product Sustainability, you will spearhead the development and implementation of sustainability strategies for our product portfolio across the group. Your work will directly contribute to achieving ambitious climate and environmental goals while ensuring a competitive and sustainable product offering.
You will focus on:
- Establishing product categorization, sustainability ratings, and requirements based on raw materials and environmental risks (e.g., biodiversity, water usage, pollution, carbon footprint).
- Leading lifecycle analyses (LCA) and improving Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
- Addressing sustainability for all products, packaging, and non-trade goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement overarching sustainability roadmaps for our own products and externally sourced assortments.
- Conduct and coordinate lifecycle assessments, considering the entire product lifecycle from design to disposal.
- Ensure a competitive customer offering on sustainability in our assortments.
- Collaborate with suppliers to embed sustainability across the supply chain and drive innovation.
- Train internal stakeholders and suppliers on sustainability standards and best practices.
- Initiate partnerships and joint sustainability projects within and beyond the group.
- Coordinate general sustainability efforts on business level as part of an executive managment team.
- Manage internal networks of sustainability champions to drive a culture of responsibility and innovation.
- Represent the company externally on sustainability matters.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience and Competence
- Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in sustainability assessments, lifecycle analysis, product development, or similar roles.
- Proven experience in working with suppliers or cross-functional teams to develop sustainable products or portfolios.
- Fluency in both Swedish and English is required
